As I sit here, enjoying this Starbucks.... I wanted to tell you Divahs about some 2010 Beauty Trends. Because the make up was sooooo Colorful for the 2009 Holiday Season, its time to wheel in our natural beauty.

Winterize That Hair...

Hey Divahs...
   I wanted to start this thing off with some information that is sooo crucial to the Hair Community. I see it every year...Split ends, Dry Scalp, Dandruff, and just simply unhealthy hair, All do to the Winter. Let me explain, during the winter the weather tends to strip your hair & body of all the hydration, which causes Dry Hair & Skin. Even though there are people who are dry all year round (ME), the cold weather makes it worse. There are minor steps you should take to keep your hair healthy espcially if you DIY


Use a Moisturizing Shampoo in your regiment...this will add moisture to the root of the hair.


Invest in Processing Caps & Conditioning Treatments...& after your shampoo apply the Conditioning Treatment, Put it under a Processing Cap & let it sit for 15-20min...this will condition the hair shaft (the actual strand of hair), seal in the moisture, & soften the Hair.
*Especially Color Treated & Chemically Enhanced Hair

Ease up on the Heat...I know you hate when your Stylist, sit you under the Dryer to Pre Dry, but its to your benefit. The Blow dryer is best when used to  straighten the hair. PreDrying Soaks up that water from the shampoo and penetrates whatever conditioning agent that was used..(i.e Treatments, Leaving In Conditioners, Protecters...). Therefore the Hand held Blow Dryer can straighten that Hair & The Iron Used can Fiercely Style...
